Hello! I am Sandra

I am a fine and fragile woman by design, which I cannot say about my character. By nature, I can describe myself as a dominant, purposeful and demanding being towards myself and other people. As well as being a wife to my beloved husband and mom to three sons. I believe that children are the greatest miracle I have ever created in my life. But that is not what this story is about.

When I was a little girl, I loved drawing paper dolls and their clothes. Later, I made clothes for my dolls and started sewing clothes for myself during school.

Then my first clients came, and my hobby also turned into my work. For over 10 years I have learned sewing skills through self-study. Now and then, I attended various sewing courses by skilled craftsmen and tailors. In 2000 I obtained the Master's Diploma of Guild of Master Craftsmen at Latvian Chamber of Crafts which opened a new chapter in my life.

I realized that I needed to move further, so I started my studies at Riga Technical University, where I achieved a Professional Bachelors Degree in Material Technology and Design. One of the greatest things I learned was how the garment is being made, from sketch to the finished product, as well as the key aspects of clothing manufacturing. 

For many years after my studies, I worked and gained experience in various apparel manufacturing companies as a creative pattern cutter and project manager. After many years of work, I concluded that I don't want to be just a link in today's huge industrial apparel system, and so this chapter of my life ended.

So now I feel it is time to put the skills I have gained over the years into my clothing design studio. I want to see the happy faces of my clients again and take pride in what I do.
